Global consumer confidence on the rise, says Nielsen

Global consumer confidence is starting to recover, says a survey conducted by the Nielsen Company, a Dutch-American media conglomerate headquartered in New York. In a similar trend, consumer confidence in Turkey is also improving, with the Nielsen survey showing that fewer Turkish people believe preventive measures must be taken to survive the crisis. Consumer confidence in Turkey rose to 67 points, an increase of seven points from March, according to the Anatolia news agency.

An increase in global consumer confidence seems to be evidence that the worst of the economic crisis is over. However, a large number of Turks remain cautious of their economic activities.
