PM Erdoğan in Washington D.C.

PM Erdoğan has arrived in Washington D.C. as the official guest of U.S. President Obama. Erdogan will deliver a speech, “Turkey: A Country Settling Peace through Diplomacy in the 21st Century,” at the Johns Hopkins University. He will also speak at two meeting hosted by the German Marshall Fund and by think-tank organization SETA on “Turkey in World Politics.” Erdoğan, speaking at a press conference in Istanbul ahead of his departure for the US capital, said “Primarily, we will talk on issues which are common on our agenda and on which we have been cooperating: developments in a wide region which includes Iraq, Afghanistan, Pakistan, the Middle East, the eastern Mediterranean, the Balkans and the Caucasus.”

PM Erdoğan is accompanied by Deputy PM Babacan, FM Davutoğlu, Chief EU negotiator Bağış, and Deputy Chief of General Staff Gen. Aslan Güner.
