Turkish FM meets Libyan opposition figure in Qatar

Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu met with a representative of Libya’s opposition movement, diplomats said April 5. Davutoğlu headed to Qatar late, April 4 after his talks in Bahrain and met Mahmoud Jibril, a member of the newly formed Council of Libya. He voiced deep unease over protests against Turkey staged in front of the Turkish Consulate-General in Benghazi, diplomats said. The meeting also discussed ways for a cease-fire in Libya.
